My Autobiography

Ramcel's Profile Picture

My name is Ramcel John Diocares, and I am nineteen years old. I was born on September 14, 2006, in Cauayan City. My life has not always been easy, but every experience that I encountered helped shape me into the person I am today. I believe that life is full of challenges, lessons, happiness, and unforgettable memories that slowly build our character and dreams.

Growing up, my family situation was not perfect. My parents separated and eventually built their own families. Because of this, I am currently living with my tita, who became one of the people who supported and guided me while growing up. Even though life became difficult at times, I learned how to adjust and become stronger emotionally. I also have a younger brother named Breuze Dwayne Rivera, who is seven years old. My mother’s name is Ruby Ann Rivera. Despite the changes in our family, I still value them deeply because they are part of my life and my story.

My childhood was simple but full of happiness and adventure. Unlike many children today who spend most of their time indoors using gadgets, I experienced the fun of playing outside with friends. I used to play traditional Filipino games such as pogs, tex, marble, and lastiko. We would spend hours outside laughing, running, and enjoying ourselves without worrying about anything else. One of the funniest memories I had during my childhood happened when my friends and I went fishing in a fishpond that did not belong to us. We caught many fish, but unfortunately, the owner saw us carrying them. He asked us where we got the fish, and instead of answering properly, we jokingly said, “Secret!” Then we immediately ran away. However, we were eventually caught and photographed because the owner warned us that if we did it again, we could be reported to the barangay. Even though it was a scary experience at that time, it became one of the funniest and most unforgettable memories of my childhood.

During my elementary years, I experienced a joyful and exciting school life. I was surrounded by kind and hardworking friends who made school enjoyable for me. We studied together, played together, and created many happy memories. At that time, I already had a cellphone, and one of our favorite bonding activities was playing multiplayer mobile games like Mini Militia. We would play during our free time and compete against each other while laughing nonstop. Those moments taught me the value of friendship and teamwork.

My high school life became more complicated because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was only able to experience around two years of face-to-face classes before lockdowns started happening everywhere. The pandemic changed many things in my life. Instead of attending school normally, students were forced to stay at home and rely on online classes. It was difficult because many people were getting sick, and news about deaths caused by COVID-19 became very common. Going outside also became challenging because of strict health protocols and restrictions. Aside from that, the increase in gas prices during that time also affected many families, including ours. The pandemic period was stressful and uncertain, but it taught me how important health, family, and time are.

When face-to-face classes finally returned during Senior High School, my life became happier again. I met new classmates and friends who were very funny, energetic, and enjoyable to be with. We shared the same humor and interests, which made our friendship stronger. My Senior High School life became one of the best parts of my student journey because I felt free, motivated, and alive again after being isolated during the pandemic. We created many unforgettable memories together inside and outside the classroom. However, graduation during Grade 12 was also emotional because we all had to go to different schools and follow different paths in life. Until now, I still miss my SHS moments and the memories I shared with my friends. Sometimes, I jokingly say that my SHS memories still “haunt” me because they were truly special and unforgettable.

Currently, I am taking up a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or BSIT. I chose this course because I am interested in technology and programming. I want to continue learning more about computers, software development, and modern technology because I believe these skills will help me build a successful future. Even though programming and IT-related subjects can sometimes be difficult, I am willing to improve myself and gain more knowledge because I know that success requires effort and dedication.

Aside from academics, I also have many hobbies and interests that help me relax and enjoy life. I love playing mobile games such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Clash of Clans. Playing games allows me to bond with friends and reduce stress after studying. I also enjoy watching anime and movies. My favorite movie is Interstellar because of its amazing story, emotional scenes, and scientific concepts. My favorite anime is Code Geass because I admire its story, characters, and the intelligence of the main protagonist.

Although I do not consider myself someone with many achievements yet, I believe that surviving difficult situations and continuing to move forward is already something to be proud of. Life has many ups and downs, but I learned that challenges are part of personal growth. I still have many goals that I want to achieve in the future.

One of my biggest dreams is to become a successful person after graduating from BSIT. I want to have a stable and high-paying job someday so I can support myself and the people I love. I also want to save money and travel to different countries in the future. One of the people who inspires me the most is my girlfriend. We became a couple on September 4, 2022, and until now we are still together. She motivates me to work harder and pursue my dreams seriously. I love her very much, and I hope that someday we can achieve our goals together, travel around the world, and live a happy and successful life.

As I continue my journey, I know there will still be many struggles and obstacles ahead. However, I also know that every experience will help me grow stronger and wiser. My life story may not be perfect, but it is real, meaningful, and full of lessons. I believe that through determination, hard work, and faith, I will eventually achieve my dreams and become the successful person I aspire to be.
